MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Warren County Adult New Readers is celebrating 23 years of serving low literacy adults who live and work in Warren County. Over 800 adults who needed help with their reading, writing, math or English speaking skills have been tutored by volunteers who have been trained by Adult New Readers.
The agency was begun in 1987 by the five public libraries in Warren County. It was granted tax-exempt status soon afterward and became a Warren County United Way agency in 1991. We continue to be funded by the libraries and United Way as well as grants and donations.
WCANR has had an 11-member Board of Directors representing the five library areas since 1990. | MISSION STATEMENT
